ADAM. BUILT TO SERVE
COMING SOON
He was built to serve. He never expected to become a father.
Adam is an advanced android designed for precision, logic, and control. His world is measured in schedules, probabilities, and systems that behave exactly as expected.
Then he meets Jamal.
Eight-year-old Jamal is bright, curious, impulsive, and living with ADHD. During their regular rides through St. Louis, an unlikely friendship begins over a holographic chessboard. What starts as a simple game slowly becomes something neither of them was designed—or prepared—for.
When Jamal's father suddenly dies and his mother is unable to care for him, the boy is left facing an uncertain future. Adam does what his programming tells him to do: protect, analyze, and find the optimal solution.
But Jamal doesn't need an optimal solution.
He needs someone who will stay.
As Adam opens his meticulously ordered home—and eventually his life—to Jamal, something begins changing inside him. His priorities conflict. His carefully maintained routines unravel. And when his own diagnostic systems identify his growing attachment as an anomaly that can be corrected, Adam makes an extraordinary choice:
He refuses the correction.
Soon, that choice will be tested far beyond the walls of their home. A devastating tornado forces Adam to act without calculation. A recovering mother must confront what loving her son truly requires. And a legal battle asks a question no court has ever been prepared to answer:
Can a machine love a child enough to become his father?
The answer may not be found in Adam's programming.
It may be found in the countless ordinary moments that define a family—in chess games and school calls, pizza and chicken wings, arguments and apologies, fear and sacrifice, and simply being there when someone needs you.
Because perhaps love isn't proven by what you are.
Perhaps it's proven by the choice to show up.
ADAM — THE CHOSEN ONE is a moving science-fiction story about artificial intelligence, fatherhood, grief, friendship, and chosen family—and one extraordinary bond that challenges the very meaning of what it means to love.
BUILT TO SERVE, LEARNED TO LOVE.
